James Rocillo
Music Capt. Head
James Rocillo has been a professional
musician & educator for the past 16 years. He has studied
with trumpet greats, Bobby Shew, Tony Lujan, Ron Stout, Sal
Cracchiolo and Charlie Davis. As a musician he works as a
freelance artist in the fields of both classical and jazz.
He has performed throughout California, as well as Canada,
Hawaii, and Japan. In 2002 he recorded his first solo CD
entitled “Front & Center”. This CD features James playing
jazz standards on trumpet and Flugelhorn. He is featured as
a soloist with the Blue Note Swing Orchestra on their CD
entitled “Battle of the Big Bands” which was recorded in the
spring of 2004. In addition he has recorded with Delphi
Recording Artists “Brown Bag”.
As an educator He has been teaching since the age of 17. He
was the founder and director of the Spirit of Santa Fe
Springs Youth Band from 1990-1999. He has been the assistant
director of bands at Ayala High School since fall of 2000.
Presently he is on staff at Valley View High School (Moreno
Valley) where he has been the director of Jazz Ensembles for
the past 6 years. In addition he has been on staff with the
music department at Nogales High School since 2000. There he
works with the marching band program as well as the concert
and jazz programs. As an adjudicator James Has judged
throughout California as well as in Missouri, and Nebraska.
In the Drum Corps world he has worked with Yamato Drum &
Bugle Corps (Osaka, Japan) and the Concord Blue Devils B
corps. He has been a caption head for the Troopers Drum and
Bugle Corps (2001-2003) and Esperanza Drum and Bugle Corps
(2004). From 2005-2007 he was on the brass staff of the six
time DCI Champions Santa Clara Vanguard. This upcoming
summer James will be a part of the brass staff for the 12
time DCI Champions Concord Blue Devils. In the fall of 2007
James accepted a position on the staff for the RCC Marching
Tigers. James is very excited to be a part of their program.
Currently James is pursuing his degree in Business Marketing
at the University of Phoenix. He will complete his degree
program in winter of 2008.
James resides in Chino Hills Ca, where he lives with his
beautiful wife Stacey and their dog Henry.

Guard Capt. Head/Drill Designer
Peter Gomez- Brings over 25 years of
experience to the marching arts activity. As a performer
Peter marched as a Tuba player for the Santa Clara Vanguard
and also
The Concord Blue Devils. Peter was the recipient of 3 DCI
world titles as a marching member.
As a designer he has also choreographed for many high
school, drum corps and University color guards including,
The Bluecoats (Ohio), The Academy (AZ) and
UCLA.
In 2005 he became the CEO and owner of
ColorguardUSA.com where he manufactures the many of the
beautiful flags you will see this year on the
field and on the court.
Peter is honored to be the visual designer for The Noble
Regiment ,and is looking forward to another successful
season this year.

Matt Ray
Brass Tech
Matt is in his fourth year teaching at
Nogales High School. His musical career began at the age of
10 as a trombone player, and his marching career began at
Magic of Orlando Drum & Bugle Corps in 1997. After three
years at Magic, he moved on to the 9 time World Champion
Cadets in 2000, and finally settled in at the Concord Blue
Devils where he marched from 2001- 2003. Over the past 7
years Matt has taught numerous high school programs in
Florida and California, including Upland High School,
William R. Boone High School, Valley View High School, and
the BOA Grand Finalist Ruben S. Ayala High School. In
addition to his work in the U.S.A., Matt is also a staff
member at two high schools in Japan. Hamasho High School in
Hamamatsu, and Ohtani High School in Kyoto. Most recently he
was a member of the stage show "Collab" in Osaka, Japan as a
featured performer and instructor.

Sergio Marquez
Guard Tech
Sergio Marquez comes from Bakersfield, California. He
started color guard at age 13 in eight grade. Sergio has
performed with Arvin High School, Pacific Crest Drum and
Bugle Corps, West Coast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps and The
Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. He has also
performed with Intensity Winter Guard, Esperanza de Luz
World Guard, and Fantasia Winter Guard. Currently Sergio is
a part-time pre-school teacher, a student, and captain for
Fantasia Winter Guard.
